SLA Resins
Protogenic currently runs three of the industry leading Stereolithography resins, along with an ABS-like 5260. The SLA resin spec sheet can be downloaded by clicking here

below are some pictures:
The 5260 resin from Huntsman is white in color, fairly stiff, and has the highest HDT available with an additional post cure (see the spec sheet for actual numbers.) It's best for situations where you want an opaque white part, or need the stiffness or higher HDT that the 5260 offers. In general, it's a good general purpose resin, that's great for presentation models, design validation, and form fit and function testing.
Which clear resin is best for your application? Great question, let's take a closer look...
Accura 60, from 3D Systems
What they say: The properties and appearance of polycarbonate with the clear, tough plastic.
http://www.3dsystems.com/products/solidimaging/accura/accura60.asp
What we say:
- It's definitely clear, especially on thin cross sections.
- It's also the most brittle clear resin we have. In thicker areas, it is also the stiffest clear resin.
- On thicker cross sections (> .250" thick), it has a grayish tint to it, to the point where you can't see through it anymore.
- Many of our Customers seem to like it, and ask for it by name.
WaterShed 11112 XC, from DSM Somos
What they say: "The industries best just got better," near colorless version of our best-selling ABS-like WaterShed 11120 material. WaterShed XC delivers the exceptional functionality and versatility of WaterShed 11120, but produces parts that look more like true, clear engineered plastic. This makes it highly suited for parts such as lenses or clear covers for automotive, medical and consumer product applications.

What we say:
- Good resin, runs well, parts are accurate.
- Remains clear and nearly colorless, even with thicker cross sections.
- Good balance between flexibility and stiffness.
ProtoClear 10120, from DSM Somos
What they say: Clear, ABS-like, durable, Ideal for applications which require optical clarity.
What we say:
- Great resin very accurate, also our most durable SLA resin.
- This is actually a hybrid resin, 10120 used to be somewhat yellow, until Somos gave us an additive that makes it essentially as clear and nearly as colorless as the new Water Clear Ultra. It's a really great blend between durability and clarity.
- Very clear, though on thicker sections (>.250") it gets a purple tint to it.
- The most flexible clear resin we have.
